Greg Stoddard, LICSW
Executive Director
Greg is the founder of Fukai Kankei. He has led 14 trips to Japan with youth. He developed a passion for Japanese Language, Culture, and History starting in his two semesters abroad there in at Bates College.

Greg teaches the classes, prepares the students, and is the lead staff for the Fukai Kankei Summer Semester in Japan.
​
Before creating Fukai Kankei, Greg was a Social Worker in Roxbury, Executive Director for Programs at Camp Harbor View, and Director of the Wediko School.

Suzanne Allen, MSN, RN, C-PNP
Board Member
Suzie Allen is a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner at UMass Memorial Children's Medical Center. She is a graduate of Northeastern University with a BA in Human Services and Yale School of Nursing with her MS in Nursing. As an adolescent medicine specialist in Worcester, MA, her patient population includes many underserved youth with complex mental health challenges. She also brings a great deal of Youth Development experience from her time at Andover Youth Services.
Ronald Carroll
Board Member
Ronald Carroll is the Director of Teen Programs at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. He's a graduate of Howard University with a BA in African American/Black studies.  His professional career has been focused on serving youth who are disempowered by systems of racism and oppression - creating deep relationships with and between youth and strengthening the community from within. He is also a veteran staff of three BGCB Japan Trip Program trips and has been a part of creating the impact of the program.
Fernando Catalina, MD, PhD
Board Member
Fernando Catalina, MD PhD is a Pediatrician affiliated with Umass Memorial Health Alliance and a graduate of the University of Southwestern Texas Medical School. He completed his residency in Pediatrics at the University of Massachusetts.  He also brings connections to the Leominster area Human Service sector, with volunteer experience on the board of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Leominster and Fitchburg, as well as volunteer experience with JUMP (Just Understand My Potential). He is also a veteran of many human service trips internationally.
Meredith Stoddard
Board Member
Meredith Stoddard is the Life Events Experience Lead at Fidelity Investments. She has a keen interest in issues of environmental and social sustainability, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, and corporate responsibility. She has recently launched a blog focused around these issues, at https://www.life-alchemists.com/blog. She is a longtime member of the Board of Trustees for Boys and Girls Clubs of Boston.
